Grind Away McDuff

A visit to the dentist is not high on my list of things to do. Especially so when I have to sit in a dentist chair for over an hour and a half to have a crown replaced. However, the experience was made more pleasurable by the use of headphones and some trance type music provided by the dentist.

I figured I wasn't going to be able to watch the overhead TV screen, which the dentist also provides for his patients. It would be too hard to listen to what the people were saying amid the buzz and grind of the dental saw. However, with the headphones & music, I could close my eyes and just let the music take me.

It worked. I was able to maintain a state of repose and drift with the music. Thanks to a shot in my cheek and gums, I didn't feel a thing (not even the shot going in). My only complaint was that my jaw and neck are out of alignment from having to keep my mouth open for such a long time. Time to go visit Dr. Marc and have him crunch me back in place.

New Software - Such A Timesaver

Starting in January, one of the things that will be part of the BBIC Admin job will be sending out the requests for State Guide. So, when we got a $50 gift card from Office Depot, what better way to use it than to get a label machine. Such a time saver - NOT.

Howard installed it on his machine. Program works great. So, he installs it on my machine and since we network, points the printer to the unit hooked up to his machine. Supposedly, everything is done the same - NOT.

Somehow, the powers above have deemed that I need to do a few extra clicks in order to get the same type of information to work for me. Just goes to show that I am not supposed to do the labels - Howard is.
