Day 8 Walk then Rest

We have been getting up at  6:30 and leisurely start out day befoe breakfast. Our window faces the river and Lynda was able to capture a great sunrise. Here is the before and after picture.

We have sent our laundry out twice now.  Just to be washed.  It comes back perfectly folded. Lynda is still doing our socks and her underware

Sunday and Monday most shops are closed.  This is very disappointing as the shop windows are lovely.  We again have a gentle walkers tour of Macon.

We left the tour when the guide was going up a steeper incline and made our own way back to the boat.  We were finally able to get up to the top deck of the boat and got a chance to visit with the captain on the bridge.

This afternoon we tour a Macconais winery.  There were two  busses each with their own guide.  We lucked out as our guide was very vivacious and dramatic.  She had us laughing during her explanations and stories. 

We have been  skipping the Sip and Sail gatherings so we could get in a brief nap before dinner.  Dinner was great as usual. There was entertainment after dinner.  We stayed for a bit, but decided to call it an early night.
